We Will Help & Make

Wirral Will Help And Make (WWHAM) is a community led initiative putting on workshops in things like Arduino (microcontrollers), 3d Printing, Digital Printmaking, and more. We try to make the sessions as cheap (probably free) and accessible as possible to give everyone access. Over time we hope to put on a wider range of activities.

What is Arduino
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software, designed to let anyone build interactive projects that sense and control the physical world.

Who is this workshop for and what is involved.
This is a an all ages event for anyone who is feeling a bit techy and wants to learn the basics of programming micro controllers. We have all the gear and a print out ready to take you through 6 projects, starting with making an LED blink, sending code to the board via an IDE (code editor), adding in a circuit with wires and a breadboard, adding a potentiometer and more.

What you need
To get the most out of our all-ages, all-abilities Introduction to Arduino workshop, you’ll just need a laptop you can install things on and a few basic computer skills, like copying a file to a USB stick, pasting text into a code editor, or installing a small driver.

No coding or electronics experience needed, just a willingness to try things and follow a simple project step-by-step. Younger makers are welcome too, as long as their grown-ups are feeling up for the adventure!

Appropriate for techy kids and adults alike. Not suitable for very little ones.

Each booking gets you access to an Arduino board and list of projects which is ideal for group to work on. Please only book one place per group.
